Dimitrios Gounopoulos
“Dimitrios Gounopoulos currently serves as a Professor in Accounting and Finance in the School of Management at the University of Bath. Dimitrios has held previous positions at Newcastle University Business School (Newcastle University), the School of Business, Management, and Economics currently University of Sussex Business School (Sussex University), the School of Management (University of Surrey) and Manchester Business School (The University of Manchester).
He has a PhD from Manchester University, an MBA from Leeds University Business School and an MSc in Radio Communication and high Frequency Engineering from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Leeds. He is researching mainly in the initial public offerings (IPOs) and lately on climate change issues.”. Some of his latest working paper in the area are “Environmental Policy Mitigates Temperature Shock Risks”, “Does Wildfire Smoke Choke Local Business?”and ‘The Impact of Wildfire Smoke on Real Estate Market” (presented at Sussex)
He has published in Journals in Accounting and Finance including the Journal of Corporate Finance (7 papers), Journal of Banking and Finance (4 papers), Financial Management (2 papers), European Financial Management (4 papers), Journal of Business Finance and Accounting (4 papers) as well as in other disciplines including Research Policy, Journal of Management Studies, Economic History Review, European Journal of Operation Research etc.’
